Two pickup locations: Wasilla (3790 N Wyoming Dr, Wasilla, AK 99623), May 1 – Oct 20, and Deadhorse on the North Slope during the North Slope season (Jul 31 – Sep 3). During that season boats book online for Deadhorse pickup; for a Wasilla pickup on those dates, call or email us. Every pickup includes an in-person safety briefing and gear walkthrough.

Open any rental, choose your dates on the live availability calendar, add the gear you need, sign the rental agreement, and pay a deposit — all online.

By pickup location and dates — each boat has its own daily rate for Wasilla and for Deadhorse, and rates can change across the season. You see the exact daily price as soon as you choose your dates.

5% off for every 7 days you rent, plus 5% for military and law enforcement — tick the box when you book and bring your military or law-enforcement ID to pickup. Combined discounts are capped at 15%.

A 50% deposit reserves your dates. The rest of the rental balance is due before your trip: one week before pickup in spring and summer, one month before pickup in the fall, and by the season's commitment date for North Slope and Western Alaska trips. You'll see your exact due date when you book. The refundable security deposit ($1,000 per boat) is separate.

Yes. During the North Slope season (Jul 31 – Sep 3) boats are staged in Deadhorse and priced at the Deadhorse rate for those dates. A 7-day boat + camp gear package for two is bookable online — see North Slope packages.

An optional +$50/day when you want to fly your rental boat somewhere remote: we pack the boat for air cargo and hand it to the commercial air-cargo carrier you book, in town. You book and pay the freight to the village airport you choose. Only added when you select it; we'll email the packed weights and sizes for your carrier.

Tent, rain fly, carry bag, stakes, hammer, inner walls, and a hand pump — a complete basecamp that sets up in about two minutes.

The trailer and hitch come with the boat — bring a truck with a 2" ball, or rent ours (or one locally). On the North Slope the boat is staged in Deadhorse (it can't be towed up the Haul Road), so drive up in your own truck or fly in and rent ours. Alaska law doesn't let us tow your boat to a launch or drop you off in the field — from pickup on, you tow, launch and run it yourself.

Wasilla summer rates are our base rates. North Slope blocks cost more because the boats, trailers and gear have to be hauled to Deadhorse, staged for the season and kept compliant up there. You'll see the exact price for your dates when you book.

Plan on 2 people in a 470 and up to 3 in a 520. The weight limit covers people, gear and all fuel — we set it from real-world experience with what the motor pushes comfortably and efficiently, not the hull's maximum rating. Groups of 4 or more should take two boats.

Every boat carries 24 gallons (two 12-gallon tanks). Expect roughly 5 miles per gallon at 18–22 mph — about 70–100 river miles depending on load and current. Tanks come empty; extra fuel bladders and tanks are available to rent.

We rent boats and gear — we aren't licensed guides, so we can't put you on animals. onX Hunt, ADF&G and DIY hunting groups are the best places to plan, and we're happy to point you to the public launches.

Yes. Choose the Remote Risk option and we pack the boat for air cargo and hand it to the air-cargo carrier you book. You book and pay the freight to the village airport; batteries and fuel tanks fly empty.

There are no refunds for unused days. You can extend if the boat isn't booked after you — call us as early as you can. If you cancel before your balance due date, half of your deposit is refunded and the other half becomes account credit for another trip. After the balance due date the deposit is kept (anything you paid above it is refunded). For North Slope and Western Alaska trips the balance due date is the season's commitment date — the day we commit crew and boats to the season — and from that date nothing paid is refundable. The 3% card processing fee on card payments isn't refunded, unless we cancel because we can't run the season or location.

We hold $1,000 per boat on your card at pickup; fuel or repairs come out of it only if needed, and the hold is released after the boat is checked back in. The damage waiver ($45/day) is optional. Everyone aboard signs a liability release before the trip.

We meet you at the Deadhorse airport and get you to your truck, give you a safety briefing and gear walkthrough, and you launch. Going home, meat travels de-boned and boxed by air cargo — we supply the boxes.

Yes. Every rental is do-it-yourself — use it to fish, camp or explore.

No — AKventure Rentals is an equipment rental company only. We rent boats, trailers, vehicles and camp gear, handed over and returned at our Wasilla and Deadhorse locations (or at a commercial air-cargo counter you choose). We are not a licensed big game guide, outfitter or transporter: we don't transport hunters, gear or game to, from or in the field, we don't accompany you or provide services in the field, and we don't give hunting advice or choose your hunt location. You plan and conduct your own hunt; if you need a field drop-off, use a transporter licensed by the Alaska Big Game Commercial Services Board.
