“If you're headed to Alaska on a DIY hunt, do yourself a favor and rent from AKventure Rentals. We used one of their jet boats for a caribou hunt, and I honestly can't say enough good things about them. From the minute we picked up the boat, they treated us right. They made sure we knew the boat inside and out and genuinely wanted us to have a successful hunt—not just rent us a boat and send us on our way. The biggest thing that sold me was what happened when we broke down miles from anywhere in the middle of the river. We fired up the Starlink, gave them a call, and instead of telling us we were out of luck, they stayed on the phone and walked us through the problem until we had it fixed. Before long, we were back on step and chasing caribou instead of worrying about getting stranded. That kind of service is worth its weight in gold when you're way back in the Alaskan bush.
